“ Lovely, dog-friendly cafe with great food. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Loved having my tea in a china cup! Can recommend the homemade soup, Spicy Lentil, and the Victoria Sponge was delicious Interesting selection of local craft work for sale too. ”
“ Stopped here on our way to the Butt of Lewis because of the reviews & we were not disappointed! The homemade soup & cheese scone were simply the best. We had to share a slice of cake as we were quite full but as they all looked so delicious we couldn’t leave without trying some. The carrot cake was sampled, a generous slice, lovely & moist with plenty of icing that was unusually light and fluffy, not overly sweet with a lovely hit of orange. Very warm & friendly staff & had a nice chat with the owner. ”
“ Best scones we’ve ever had! Homemade by the owner. Service with a smile. New owners and they are just lovely! Definitely worth a stop in for tea, coffee and a chat. I’m an avid knitter and loved the choice of wool and local wool goods. One of our favorite memories of our trip! ”
“ Loved this quirky place. I wish I had time for another visit whilst in Lewis. The cakes looked amazing but I indulged in the Old English cooked breakfast. Top quality ingredients served with a smile. X ”
“ Found this lovely place while we were touring the Butt of Lewis! Wonderful home made cakes - the biscoff cheesecake was absolutely amazing, love the carrot cake too (the frosting on that carrot cake is the best I have ever had! Very light cream cheese frosting). We also had a hearty bowl of spiced carrot and lentil soup, and bacon &egg rolls. Most importantly, the owners are very lovely and warm. They made us feel at home! Highly recommended! Ps they are dog friendly! ”
“ Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea presented to me on a weekday late in the afternoon , which included leaf tea in a hot pot, a delicious warm scone and condiments. I also bought two sneaky cinnamon buns for dessert which were very tasty. The staff were extremely friendly and obliging. Many thanks for being open so early in the year. ”
“ Who didn’t give this establishment a 5* rating?? “I will hunt you down and then I will...”, well no, it won’t come to that but it is a really fantastic little spot. If you are anywhere near, do visit. Check opening times, it was open until 4pm when we visited, we just made it in time at around 3:30pm. A really great find, especially as: eateries and coffee shops are few and far between in the area it seems, and those that are about are only open a few days a week, then for limited hours! Superb selection of handmade cakes and puddings. We thoroughly enjoyed our choices. Plus great coffee too, a very nice cafetiere of coffee for me. Oh, just realised that I nearly forgot to say that the gentleman running the coffee shop was very pleasant and friendly. Made us feel welcome. ”
“ Cozy atmosphere, delicious food and friendly people. Gluten free and vegan options available. I have food allergies and the staff were so kind and patient helping me find something that would work. Lovely spot! ”
